We’re getting ever closer to the roll-out of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013, which is anticipated this Q4 (October 1 or sometime shortly thereafter). While there is no guaranteed General Availability date yet, there is a partner launch by Microsoft in the UK that has been announced for next month, more precisely on the 20th of September (follow the link for the event registration page).
Side-note: I don’t have any screenshots of NAV 2013 yet (and I didn’t want to rip off screenshots from other people’s blogs), but I will be posting some very soon!
In the meantime, NAV partners will have the opportunity to participate in accelerated “Launch Training Blitz“es next week. These are split into two categories: Selling & Demonstrating and Deployment, Architecture & Future Enhancements on the 28th and the 29th of August respectively. You will need your Microsoft Partner Network login to register. Click here to be taken to the registration page.
Also, NAV 2013 Beta is available for download from PartnerSource at https://mbs.microsoft.com/partnersource/support/selfsupport/productreleases/MSDNAV2013Betadownload.htm.
The next four months will be big for Microsoft: Windows 8, Microsoft Surface (tablet), Windows Phone 8 (Apollo), Internet Explorer 10, Visual Studio 2012, Exchange 2013, SharePoint 2013 and Kinect for Windows are all expected to come out between now and the end of the year. I’m not so sure about anticipated release dates for Windows Server 2012 and Dynamics GP 2013 but they can’t be too far behind either.
